Judge - "Master, why do you fight with a Manetheren blade? It's a common highway guard's weapon." - Young Ranger Lad "Just because it's common doesn't mean it's not any good." *slices a thin piece of venison off of the spit* "See? It's a fine sharp blade." - Hexus When in the wild you will come upon many different items. This allows you to differentiate between the junk and the good stuff out there. Syntax: judge -item(s)- judge -item(s)- against -other_item(s)- Related Skill(s): Evaluate |

"I can find them. Prepare your men, Captain." - Braylon of Clan Elspeth, Ranger This allows a Ranger to scout into another room. You will see the description of the room, any visible NPC/PC and Items. Plus, there is a chance you can see hidden persons and the footsteps of the invisible. We receive this at Level 50. Syntax: scout -direction- scout -direction- thoroughly scout -direction- hidden scout -direction- invisible Related Skill(s): Perception, Searching |
Fix - "I can not stress the importance of maintaining your gear. A dull or chipped blade, or a dented shield can be the difference that will end your life. When in a town, be kind to a Smith and he may allow you to use his gear for a minor fee. Do not get caught with a broken weapon or battered piece of armour." - Facingwest, Assistant Guild Master At some Smiths you can fix your own gear. It's cheaper than having them do it and in some cases safer. I can't count the times Alvin has broken a piece of my equipment. The closest Smithy to the Giant Oak is 4n, nw, n, w. If you are a Dwarf, you can get a Blacksmith's Kit in the Kingdom and use it to repair any weapons and armours. Doing any smithing to weapons and armours will, over time, hurt the enchant values on your weapons. Use this skill with caution. Syntax: fix -item(s)- or fix all (For everything) repair -item(s)- or repair all (For everything) === If you have a Blacksmith's Kit. Related Skill(s): Smithing - Armour, Weapon and Misc. |

Sneak - "There are 4 drow waiting at the main gate and 10 jade spiders. Where do you think you're going?" - Elven Raider "I'm going through that gate." - Elven Ranger A most useful skill, sneak allows us to pass by (sometimes) auto attacking creatures. The best use, though, is for avoiding thieves. If they don't know you are there they can't steal from you. One thing, however, you MUST MUST MUST HIDE before you start sneaking. Otherwise, you look a little stupid sneaking but people can see you. Syntax: sneak -direction- Related Skill(s): Stealth |
Butcher - "Ah muv nerky *chomp* Ids nud. Mah fends meg me fmor *chomp* et mall de toome." - Vrax "Piggy" De Meuthe "Piggy, take that jerky out of your mouth when talking to people. (a loud slap is heard)" - Brother Oak With this ability, we can carve bloody steaks from corpses of non-sentient creatures and take them to our smoke shack to smoke into wonderful pieces of food. There are 3 types of jerky, each one can heal a small number of hit points. The best, pemmican, heals the most but requires more ingredients than just a bloody steak. The smoke hut is west of the Giant Oak. Syntax: butcher corpse(s) Related Skill(s): Survival (the higher it is the fewer ruined steaks you get) |
Hunt - "Hey, you pig faced smelly son of a donkey. Your mother was a whore in Amador and your father.....aaaaaaaarrrrrghhhhh" - a moron Hmmmmm, what can be said about hunt? It is our primary attack form. If you hide before hunting you will gain a bonus in your damage, but overall it is a very powerful attack. With a good set of enchanted weapons you could get upwards of 8 hits with a hunt. Syntax: hunt -target- Related Skill(s): Primary Attack Skill (Sharp, Blunt, Unarmed, Bow) fighting.combat.special Addendum: A ranger may only hunt unarmed with Claws of the Beast. |
Instinct - "Bloody heck! Would you stand still long enough for me to at least skewer you with this lance!?!" - a Guardsman for Pesvint Instinct gives rangers the ability to avoid incoming attacks, by evading or parrying the attacks. It also has the secondary aspect of enhancing the rangers natural dexterity, somewhat. Syntax: instinct Related Skill(s): Primary Defensive Skill: fighting.defensive.dodging.melee -OR- fighting.defensive.parry Addendum: Only select one skill and bring that one up. Selecting both does nothing to enhance your skill but rather may lower it as your overall skill won't be as high. |
